A new ramen shop, Kouchan Ramen, is opening along West Parker Road in Plano.

Kouchan Ramen offers signature Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen with pork bone broth that’s simmered for hours, according to a business news release. Its noodles are made in-house to be aromatic, slightly chewy and have a smooth yet firm texture.

The business is also a specialty brand produced by Hakata Ikkousha, a company that originates from Hakata Japan. A business representative said the Plano location for Kouchan Ramen is its first location to open in the U.S.
