The Plano Art Association Gallery in The Shops at Willowbend is closing at the end of August.

The gallery is closing as redevelopment plans at the Mall move forward, according to a gallery social media post.
Association President Rebecca Archuleta said the organization has since negotiated with management to stay through Aug. 31. Archuleta said their biggest exhibit will be held in August.
The association does not have the funds for another location at this time, Archuleta said.
“We are desperately looking for sponsors and/or a very generous landlord,” she said in an emailed statement to Community Impact.
Interested parties can also provide donations online.
The background
The Plano Art Association Gallery opened its current space in 2024. The association has been dedicated to encouraging visual arts development and education in Plano for more than 50 years, according to its website.
