A Plano-based business analytics software firm plans to bring 100 jobs to a new west Plano office after the city of Plano approved an economic incentive agreement with the company.

Plano City Council on Monday approved a $100,000 grant for Visual BI Solutions to bring at least 100 jobs to a nearly 20,000-square-foot office space The company would invest $4.5 million in the property, which is located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Parkwood Boulevard and Windhaven Parkway.

The company would be required to move at least 35 employees into the facility by Aug. 31, 2019, under the agreement. The full 100 employees would need to be moved in within three years of that date.

The company told the city that an economic incentive agreement would be “a contributing factor” in the firm’s decision to “relocate and expand” its commercial activities within Plano, according to the agreement.

The company currently has an office at 5600 Tennyson Parkway, Ste. 120, roughly 1 mile northeast of the discussed site.
