Thanks to a partnership with Toyota, Collin College students may enroll in the Technician Training & Education Network, or T-TEN, program in fall 2023.
According to a news release from the college, the program will provide students hands-on automotive diagnosis and repair training, mentors and internship opportunities.

The T-TEN program will take place at Collin College’s Technical Campus in Allen.

Per the release, the program expands upon an existing partnership between Collin College and Toyota that started in the 2020-21 academic year. At the time, Collin College served as one of the pilot programs for Toyota’s Technical Education College Support Elite program, in which students could take online training modules to pursue a career as a Toyota or Lexus certified technician. This program will continue at the college.

“We are proud to build on the partnership we have with Toyota to offer this exceptional opportunity to our students,” Collin College District President Neil Matkin said in the release. “The T-TEN program at Collin College will provide our students with a low-cost entry into rewarding careers in a high-demand industry.”

Collin College's release states that benefits from the T-TEN program include:
  • Hands-on automotive training;
  • Mentors working with students;
  • Connecting students with paid internships at dealerships while attending school;
  • Multiple certificate and associate degree options;
  • Technician training certification for National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence; and
  • Technician training certifications for Toyota and Lexus.
Collin College’s Technical Campus is located at 2550 Bending Branch Way, Allen. For more information on the T-TEN program, visit www.t-ten.com.
