1. Rise Soufflé is set to open at 2444 Preston Road, Ste. 100, this summer, according to signage in the building’s window. The building was formerly a TGI Fridays, and construction is set to finish on Aug. 20, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. 2. The Dolly Llama Waffle Master is set to open at 8400 Preston Road, Ste. 150, in June. The Los Angeles-based dessert chain serves several varieties of waffles covered in toppings, such as ice cream, chocolate syrup, fruit and cereal, as well as milkshakes and ice cream. A grand opening event is planned for June 10, with raffles and giveaways, according to owner Trenton Judson. 3. Zaap Kitchen Lao & Thai Street Eats' sixth location will open at 5976 W. Parker Road, Ste. 304, in late June or early July, according to a spokesperson for the company. The restaurant will serve a variety of Laotian cuisine, including curry, noodles, stir-fry and desserts. The restaurant will occupy a former T-Mobile store.
