Macy’s Inc. confirmed in a news release the closure of 66 stores, including locations in Plano, Southlake and Flower Mound.
In the release, the 66 stores are called, “Macy’s non-go-forward store locations.”
“This plan is designed to return the company to sustainable, profitable sales growth which includes closing approximately 150 underproductive stores over a three-year period while investing in its 350 go-forward Macy’s locations through fiscal 2026,” the release states.
For Macy's stores, clearance sales will begin in January and will run for approximately 8-12 weeks. Closing dates for these stores have not been released.
