Movement Climbing, Yoga and Fitness has purchased four Summit Gyms in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, with Summit’s Dallas location set to close as part of the acquisition.

Movement bought Summit’s Grapevine, Plano, Denton and Fort Worth locations, according to a press release from the company. The Dallas gym, located at 9201 Forest Lane, was not part of the purchase, and its last day of operation is set for April 30.

Summit and Movement members will have access to the four former Summit Gyms locations, along with Movement’s two Dallas locations—The Hill and Design District—starting on May 1.

“Movement will build on and strengthen the amazing community that Summit has fostered over the last 20-plus years," Summit Gyms CEO Kyle Clinkscales said in the release.

Movement offers day passes, and monthly and annual memberships to its rock climbing gyms. The company also offers climbing, yoga and fitness classes.

Movement will be adding the four Summit Gyms to its existing 21 locations nationwide. Along with Summit Dallas, the two Summit locations in Oklahoma City were not part of the purchase and will continue operation under Summit.

More information on the acquisition can be found in an FAQ on Movement’s website.
