Plano residents are set to see a new H-E-B coming near west Plano.

The details

Carrollton City Council unanimously approved a zoning change at a Jan. 6 meeting for the proposed H-E-B. The store is planned for the northeast corner of Josey Lane and Parker Road, near the border of Plano and Carrollton.

The proposed 120,000-square-foot location is planned to include a gas station, drive-thru pharmacy, a True Texas BBQ restaurant and curbside pickup, according to city documents.

Zooming in

Carrollton’s Transportation Engineering Manager Tom Hammons said H-E-B has proposed adding three turn bays for the site, including two on Parker Road and one on Josey Lane. H-E-B will also add a traffic signal at the main entrance on Parker, Hammons said.

Hammons added city staff will also work with the Texas Department of Transportation to make additional traffic improvements to the intersection alongside the H-E-B development.
