Watering restrictions likely in DFW area this month

"Even in the heat of the summer, our lawns will survive on a twice per week or less schedule," Olson said. "We just need to get people in tune with spreading their watering out over the course of a week."

The city of Colleyville also is reminding water customers that some of them will see new, tiered water rates reflected in their bills this month.

Put simply, customers who use less water are charged a lower rate. Those who use 20,000 gallons a month or less will not see a change in their rate. Details about the tiered rates and a water calculator are available at www.colleyville.com.
