Police are searching for two Hispanic male suspects in a white SUV after a 43-year-old Southlake man was shot to death at Southlake Town Square, a police spokeswoman said Wednesday night.
Kim Leach of the Southlake Police Department said the man, whose identity had not been released as of about 9:30 p.m., was shot multiple times. He was taken to Baylor Grapevine Hospital, where he was declared dead.
Leach said the suspects fled west on FM 1709. Police Chief Stephen Mylett said police believe this was not a random shooting, but that the victim was specifically targeted.
The shooting took place in the 100 block of Southlake Town Square, roughly the area where the gazebo sits. The east side of that block was cordoned off as police investigated.
