The Aviation Travel Consumer Report released this month by the U.S. Department of Transportation shows 79.1 percent of American Airlines arrivals were on time for January, while 75.4 percent were on time for American Eagle.
The airline with the most on-time flights: Virgin America with 93.1 percent.
Also for January, the report shows that 78.5 percent of flights at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport arrived on time, and 75.8 percent departed on time, out of more than 46,000 total operations.
DFW's arrivals and departures are lower than Chicago O'Hare's, with roughly the same number of operations. O'Hare's arrivals were on time 74.9 percent of the time and 71.4 percent of its flights departed on-time.
