Mike and Jennifer Buchanan opened McKinney Hat Company on March 12 in the McKinney Square at 213 N. Kentucky St., McKinney.

The Buchanans have lived in McKinney for more than two decades. Jennifer is a local orthodontist, and Mike has worked as an economist and statistician.

McKinney Hat Company offers Stetson, Resistol and Charlie 1 Horse hats that can be customized. The shop sells more than 100 styles of hats, and each can be shaped to fit the customer’s head before bands, feathers and personalized brands are added. 469-907-1051. www.mckinneyhatcompany.com
