Seattle-based coffee company Starbucks has plans to open a new location at the southwest corner of Virginia Street and Hardin Boulevard in McKinney, next to the 7-Eleven, a Starbucks spokesperson said. The location is set to open this winter. The cafe will feature a drive-thru. Starbucks was founded in 1971 and is the largest coffee retailer in the world. It is known for its coffee and espresso beverages, such as mochas, frappuccinos, macchiatos and lattes. www.starbucks.com
