The McKinney City Council unanimously approved a proposed concept plan for a project that will bring a new multifamily development to the northern portion of the city at a Sept. 20 meeting.
The new development, termed Modera McKinney Ridge, will sit on the east side of the future expansion of Hardin Boulevard, about 1,500 feet north of Bloomdale Road. The development is about a mile north of McKinney North High School.
The proposed concept plan includes 381 units in 12 buildings on the 20.26-acre lot. The plan also included a fitness center and a resident club.
The initial general development plan was approved by the City Council at its Jan. 4 meeting. The item will return at a future meeting for the final approval of the site plan.
