Medical City McKinney introduces pediatric orthopedic services

Medical City McKinney announced Jan. 28 that pediatric orthopedic care has been added to its list of services with the addition of a new specialist.

Orthopedic and spine surgeon Dr. Shyam Kishan from Medical City Children’s Hospital opened an office at MCM and will now see patients locally on Wednesdays.

“The Medical City Children’s Hospital Orthopedics and Spine Services has allowed us to expand access to pediatric orthopedic and spine care,” said Sally Huggins, Community and Public Relations representative for MCM.

Kishan will be able to diagnose, treat and manage children’s bone, joint or muscle conditions. Kishan also treats conditions, such as pediatric spinal deformities, scoliosis surgery, spinal decompression surgery, spinal fusion and spina bifida.

At this time, pediatric surgeries will continue to take place at MCCH.
