Habitat Plants + Coffee in downtown McKinney has expanded, owner Karina Velez said.

Velez said she leased the space next door which allowed the business to expand to about 3,500 square feet. It was a “dream expansion scenario” that allowed Habitat’s coffee bar and space to be expanded, Velez said.

Habitat Plants and Coffee opened in 2021. The business sells a variety of beverages including coffee, lattes, chai lattes and tea. Habitat also sells plants, plant accessories such as pots, apparel and more.
