Plans for a new Chick-fil-A location in north McKinney have been filed, according to a listing from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The project includes a nearly 5,000-square-foot drive-thru restaurant at the southwest corner of US 380 and Walnut Grove Drive, according to city documents. The $1.2 million project will begin construction in June and is expected to be completed in November, according to the project filing. However, Chick-fil-A has not confirmed a restaurant at this location, according to a representative of the company.
“We are constantly evaluating potential new locations, and the McKinney area represents a tremendous opportunity to serve our customers and fans. At this time, we are still very early in discussions on prospective locations in McKinney and hope to share more soon,” a Chick-fil-A representative said.
Chick-fil-A is a fast-food chicken restaurant serving chicken sandwiches, chicken nuggets, fries and more, according to its menu. There are over 2,400 Chick-fil-A restaurants nationwide, including four existing locations in McKinney, according to its website. www.chick-fil-a.com
