Collin County Animal Shelter at 125% capacity, adoption fees lowered to $10 through May 31


The Collin County Animal Shelter is at 125% capacity as of May 28, according to a Collin County news release.

To encourage more adoptions, the shelter, located at 4750 Community Ave., McKinney, is temporarily lowering pet adoption fees from $25 to $10 for cats and dogs until May 31.

The adoption fee covers about $150 worth of veterinary care, including a spay or neuter coupon, a microchip, a rabies vaccination for pets old enough and other core vaccines, according to the release.
