Developers and the McKinney Economic Development Corp. have rebranded the development at the Sam Rayburn Tollway and US 75 interchange as Southgate McKinney.

“The new Southgate McKinney name and logo provides this development with a new image as the south entrance into our community,” MEDC President Darrell Auterson said in a news release. “We are committed to creating a world class employment center and a new destination in McKinney to complement the other great attractions and centers of commerce in our community.”
The mixed-use development joins the Collin College Higher Education Center and the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center already on the property.
The next step, according to the news release, is for developer KDC, along with partners ATR/Corinth and Columbus Realty, to use the plans to recruit tenants.
“We’ve spent a great deal of time envisioning a development as unique as Mckinney,” MEDC board Chairman Jason Burress said. “These site proposals include all the many wonderful amenities we know will attract first-class tenants and we look forward to turning our vision into a reality.”
