A Valvoline Instant Oil Change located at 8720 W. University Drive will relocate in December ahead of the US 380 bypass project, a company spokesperson said. Valvoline doesn’t currently have a new address for the relocation, the spokesperson added.

Valvoline offers oil changes and other vehicle maintenance services, like battery and air filter replacements, according to the company’s website.

The context

The oil change shop is one of several businesses in the area identified as expected displacements due to the selected alignment for the US 380 bypass, according to the Texas Department of Transportation’s website.

Three other businesses in that shopping center, including Jason’s Deli, White Rhino Coffee and 3Natives, have also closed ahead of the highway expansion. Redefined Eyecare and an AT&T Store are also relocating ahead of the expansion.
