Hamm’s Meat and Market has been purchased by McKinney residents Noah and Lacey Hester, according to a Sept. 12 news release.

The butcher shop, located at 307 W. Louisiana St., opened on the square in 1954. The shop offers a selection of locally raised meats, produce, and deli meats and cheeses, along with beer and wine, according to the release. The store also offers hot dishes, including sandwiches, as well as meal kits.

“Lacey and I are honored to be entrusted with keeping Hamm’s traditions and history alive, in addition to building some of our own,” Noah said in the release.

The new owners plan to implement “new traditions” at the butcher shop, including adding locally sourced and health-conscious items, such as farm-raised chicken eggs and organic local produce, according to the release. Other additions coming to the store include a monthly dinner club, a butcher box subscription service and a private dining area for events.

“We know what this neighborhood jewel means to devotees within the community, who are longtime customers and local families just like ours,” Lacey said in the release.

Noah, an award-winning chef with over 20 years of experience, and Lacey, an entrepreneur, also previously starred in E! Entertainment’s show “The Bradshaw Bunch.” The store will also offer Chef Noah Hester’s Signature Sauces, according to the release.
