Mayweather Boxing + Fitness is set to open a new location in north McKinney on March 8, according to Area Manager Melissa Beal.

The facility, located at 3194 W. University Drive, Ste. 400, offers a variety of fitness training and workouts developed by namesake and founder Floyd Mayweather. The fitness center conducts several high-intensity interval training sessions ranging from 45 to 60 minutes as well as personal training, cardio conditioning and boxing, according to its website.

“Whether you are looking to spice up your fitness routine, learn boxing, gain strength and confidence, add cardio to your fitness routine, burn more calories, and maximize your results, right now is the time to join our community of champions and knock out your fitness goals,” Beal said in a statement.

Outside of scheduled workout sessions, Mayweather Boxing + Fitness offers an open gym as well as a youth program aimed at ages 8-17, Beal said.

The location, run by Chris Jones, the general manager and a former professional boxer, is the first Mayweather Boxing + Fitness in McKinney. The location plans to have a grand opening celebration, but it has not yet been scheduled. Mayweather will visit the location once it has reached 500 members, Beal said.

The Los Angeles-based company has over 50 locations across the U.S., according to its website. 469-530-3095. www.mayweather.fit/mckinney-tx
