Firewater Liquor to bring craft beer, liquor to McKinney

Firewater Liquor, a liquor store retailer from Waco, plans to open a location in west McKinney, according to owner Kollin Behrghundi.

The store, located at 6351 Eldorado Parkway, will offer a variety of beers, liquors and classic alcoholic beverages. The business’s unique product selection will also include garnishes, bitters and more, Behrghundi said. Customers can also create a mix-and-match six-pack of individual craft beers from around the world, including some local Texas breweries.

The over 2,000-square-foot store will have a mezzanine level as well as an “old wooden library aesthetic” with woodwork done by Behrghundi himself, he said. Behrgrundi also plans to offer daily in-store tastings.

“I really want to create more of an experience,” Behrghundi said.

The store is expected to open in fall. There are three existing Firewater Liquor locations, including two in Waco and one in Mart. The McKinney location will be the business’s fourth store and first expansion into the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

“Our store just fits [in McKinney] perfectly,” Behrghundi said.
