Rudy Durham is running for his second term as Lewisville mayor.

He will run against Winston Edmondson and Penny Mallet in the citywide election on May 5.

Community Impact Newspaper sent Durham a series of questions on his candidacy. His written responses, edited for publication style, are below.





  1. What do you think is the biggest issue facing Lewisville?


     To continue working through the 2025 Vision Plan, with transportation connecting the plan together.


2. What are your plans to fix this issue?

Secure funding for the 2025 Vision Plan.

3. If elected, what will be your top priorities?

Top priority is transportation that connects the 2025 Plan together.

4. Where do you see Lewisville in the next five years?

In five years I see Lewisville well on its way to accomplishing the goals of the 2025 Plan.

5. What will you do to ensure Lewisville keeps growing economically and crime declines?

I will keep working to make Lewisville a place where citizens want to live, work and play.
