Handel's Homemade Ice Cream now serving scoops in Flower Mound

Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream & Yogurt on Nov. 2 opened a new location in Flower Mound that serves a variety of frozen treats near the intersection of Cross Timbers and Long Prairie roads.

The Ohio-based company features ice cream made fresh on-site each day. In addition to a variety of ice cream flavors, the shop serves yogurt, sherbet and flavored ices.

Ice cream flavors range from the simple—chocolate, vanilla and strawberry—to a number of specialty options such as mocha almond fudge.

Customers can ask about vegan options as well, according to the company website.

The company has been in business since 1945 and operates stores in 10 different states. In addition to the Flower Mound store, Handel's has nearby locations in Plano, Little Elm and McKinney.


The new Flower Mound location is located at 2717 Cross Timbers Road, Ste. 500B.
