Flower Mound residents want a Trader Joe’s and an In-N-Out Burger in their neighborhood, according to results from the 2022 retail and restaurant survey conducted by the town.

Earlier this year, town officials asked residents what retailers and restaurants they want to see in Flower Mound.

Of the 1,300 responses recorded, residents indicated a desire for more grocery store retailers. Trader Joe’s was the top-requested retailer, followed by H-E-B at No. 2, Central Market at No. 4 and Costco at No. 5. The most convenient option for Flower Mound residents looking to shop at Trader Joe’s is in Southlake.

Meanwhile, the top result for restaurant requests was In-N-Out Burger, followed by Whataburger at No. 2 and Panera Bread at No. 3. Ninety-one percent of residents surveyed prefer to dine at casual- and family-dining restaurants, according to the survey. The closest In-N-Out Burger is in neighboring Grapevine.

The data collected from the survey will be used to assist the town’s economic development staff in pursuing future retail and restaurant opportunities.
