Paving of the western portion of East Worth Street between Austin and Ruth streets in Grapevine is expected to start in the coming weeks, weather permitting.

Work on the east side has been delayed due to unanticipated utility conflicts, according to city officials.

In March 2021, Grapevine City Council approved a $1.2 million grant to reconstruct the 600 and 700 blocks of East Worth Street. Construction spanned two years to get two cycles of federal funding through the federal Community Development Block Grant program. City Council approved a contract with McClendon Construction in May 2022 for the removal of asphalt , construction of a new sidewalk, curb and gutter work and the installation of an eight-inch water line and two fire hydrants.
