Turkish- and Mediterranean-style restaurant Istanbul Cuisine will open its second location in Southlake on July 17. The restaurant is located at 2140 E. Southlake Blvd. in the former location of Panera Bread.

Owner Can Karatas said the restaurant serves a combination of Turkish and Mediterranean food. The restaurant has dishes such as baba ganoush, falafel and beef shish kebab.

Several Old World special platters are offered, including the oven-baked lamb shank, which is baked lamb with tomato sauce and served with mashed eggplant and rice. The restaurant also offers moussaka, or Turkish lasagna, which has layers of eggplant, potatoes, ground lamb, beef, tomatoes and bechamel sauce served with rice.
