Lauren Kimberly, festivals and events coordinator at the Southlake Economic Development and Tourism office, provided updates on the Christmas tree lighting ceremony. She also unveiled details on the new Holiday of Lights trail while speaking to the council at the Nov. 18 meeting.
What’s happening?
Southlake will host a Christmas tree lighting at 6 p.m. Nov. 22, which will take place during the event running from 4:30-8:30 p.m., Kimberly said.
The night will feature a free photo with Santa at the Rustin Pavilion, cookie decorating and snow hill rides.
Various choirs and performances will be held at Rustin & Family Park and Frank Edgar Cornish IV Park. That schedule can be found here.

Kimberly also said the Holiday of Lights will be held at McPherson Park, which runs from Nov. 22 to Jan. 4, 2026.
The third-mile walking trail at the park, located at 1297 Division St., has been decorated with Christmas lights and displays. The show will be open daily from 5-10 p.m., she said.
Kimberly said there are photo opportunities throughout the trail and there will be food vendors at the park on Fridays and Saturdays.
