Vaqueros Texas Bar-B-Q to move from Grapevine to Allen

A Grapevine barbecue mainstay closed in December and is moving to a full-time location in Allen.

Vaqueros Bar-B-Q was open Thursday through Sunday in a food trailer at Hop & Sting Brewery Company in downtown Grapevine.

Vaqueros served a variety of options such as tacos, birria, green chile mac and cheese, brisket, ribs, turkey, brisket nachos, apple gorgonzola slaw, hickory-smoked elote, garlic cilantro rice and cowboy potatoes, according to its menu.

Owner Arnulfo “Trey” Sanchez will open a new location at Watters Creek Village in Allen on Jan. 22, according to a social media post. The address in Allen is 965 Garden Park Drive.

Sanchez, a Grapevine resident, said he first opened his food truck in early 2019 and has been at Hop & Sting since September 2020.
