Daddy’s Chicken Shack held a soft opening ahead of its grand opening in Colleyville.

During the soft opening week, the business worked with Grapevine High School and Colleyville Heritage High School’s cheer, soccer, track and field, softball, baseball, football and basketball teams, as well as Compass Church, and gave back 10% of proceeds to each one, according to a news release.

The grand opening events start April 4, and on April 6, customers can come and get a cup that will get them free refills through the rest of the calendar year, the news release states.

The Houston-based company will be serving pressure-cooked and grilled chicken, offering “food like the photos,” according to the website.

The menu includes chicken and waffles sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, popcorn chicken, burritos, chicken fingers, salads, and loaded fries, according to its website.

This is the second location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, joining another in Fort Worth. There are other Texas locations in Houston and Austin.
