Velvet Taco is opening Feb. 6 in Grapevine at 440 W. SH 114. The Dallas-based restaurant features tacos with international tastes and flavors, according to a press release. Its tacos include chimichurri steak, Korean fried rice, Cuban pig, spicy tikka chicken and more. Its menu also offers alcoholic drinks such as margaritas, ranch water, palomas and beer.
The restaurant’s grand opening will be celebrated with special events, the press release stated. From Feb. 6-12, the first 100 dine-in guests each day will receive giveaways with items such as Velvet Taco swag, red velvet cake, queso and more. On Feb. 9 the first 100 guests will have the chance to enter a raffle for Velvet Taco’s catering party pack of tacos.
All day Feb. 11, the restaurant’s Roaming Taco Truck will be out in Grapevine. Guests who find the truck can get giveaways such as free swag and taco cards. There will also be face painting for guests at the Grapevine location Feb. 11.
