Quote of note

“It has been exciting to watch Peppa Pig Theme Park being built in North Richland Hills,” Mayor Oscar Trevino said in a statement. “I know many families are looking forward to visiting and building their first theme park memories together. This world-class theme park will provide year-round fun for little ones and is a great addition to the many family-friendly amenities already in our community, including NRH2O Family Water Park, which is right next door.”

Trevino said the park will contribute to the area’s economy and bring more employment opportunities for residents looking for jobs.

What’s next?

Peppa Pig Theme Park is slated to open later this year, but an opening date has not been announced yet. Merlin Entertainments plans to hire 100 full-time and part-time employees before the grand opening.

Officials are planning to host a recruitment fair before the grand opening though employment opportunities can also be accessed online.

Zooming out

The Peppa Pig Theme Park was announced in March 2023. Merlin Entertainments and Hasbro are partnering together to open the park on a 14-acre site near NRH20 Family Water Park on Hwy. 26.

The two companies had previously collaborated on one other Peppa Pig Theme Park in Polk County, Florida. The new park in North Richland Hills, which broke ground last June 2023, will be owned and operated by Merlin Entertainments, according to the news release.
