Southlake City Council approved the first reading of a zoning change and concept plan for The Retina Center of Texas to develop an office and medical facility at 305 Morrison Park.

Plans feature a two-story building featuring both general office and medical office space to conduct outpatient eye exams, according to meeting documents. The practice will not offer intraocular or LASIK surgeries.

The site is located north of SH 114 and is part of the larger overall Morrison Office Park development.

Also north of SH 114, the city recently reopened North White Chapel Boulevard at the Kirkwood Branch crossing, Public Works Director Rob Cohen said during a presentation to City Council. The roadway was damaged during the fall floods and was closed for repairs.
