Airport officials announced Dec. 9 that the business will offer a travel essential store and market near Gate A-17 in Terminal A following the expansion of the terminal in 2026.
What's happening?
Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and the Marshall Retail Group partnered to bring specialty products from Bonton Farms to the airport, according to a news release.
The market will feature Bonton Farm products, such as including homemade jams, jellies, sauces and other fresh goods, alongside locally sourced items from small businesses across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, per the release.
Bonton Farms give people who have been incarcerated a second chance through employment and volunteer opportunties, according to its website.
The market will also feature three Fort Worth-based businesses:
- Sons Coffee—Specialty coffee featuring freshly brewed drip coffee.
- Lettuce Cook—Gourmet grab-and-go salads and sandwiches.
- Pearl Honey Spreads—A woman/minority-owned business specializing in honey-based treats.
“We are thrilled to award this exciting new contract to MRG [Marshall Retail Group] and Bonton Farms as part of our ongoing effort to expand DFW's world-class shopping and dining options,” said Ken Buchanan, DFW Airport’s executive vice president of revenue management and customer experience. “This partnership underscores our commitment to supporting small, diverse, and locally rooted businesses—enabling them to tap into the airport’s economic growth as we expand our concessions footprint.”
