The Rochester Rattlers officially announced today that the Major League Lacrosse team will move to Frisco and be renamed the Dallas Rattlers. The Rattlers will play 2018 MLL season home games at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, the multipurpose facility that serves as the practice facility for the Dallas Cowboys. The Ford Center has been host to several lacrosse events. Most recently, the 2017 MLL Championship Game was hosted at the Ford Center in August. “The city of Frisco is excited to welcome the Rattlers to their new home,” Dallas Rattlers President Bill Goren said in a news release. “The Rattlers have been a first-class organization since their inception in 2001 and we are looking forward to continuing that rich tradition here in Texas.” The Rattlers will be the first MLL franchise in Texas and the only team to play in the Central Time Zone. The team will also be the seventh professional sports franchise to be located in Frisco.
