Gressle's last day at the Frisco and Plano hospitals is May 31, said Janet St. James, assistant vice president of strategic communications for Medical City Healthcare.
Gressle is becoming the chief administrative officer for the East Florida division of HCA Healthcare, the parent company of Medical City Healthcare.
“It has been my honor and privilege to serve the North Texas community," Gressle said in a statement. "Together, we have accomplished many important healthcare milestones that have reinforced our commitment to the care and improvement of human life. Medical City Plano and Medical City Frisco have exceptional leadership in place, and I am confident that these two hospitals will continue to grow to meet the healthcare needs of the many patients who entrust their care to us.”
Gressle has been Medical City Plano's CEO since 2013. He also became Medical City Frisco's CEO after HCA purchased the hospital in 2016.
He has also served as the chief operating officer at Medical City Dallas Hospital and Medical City Children’s Hospital and the senior vice president of strategy and business development for the HCA Continental Division in Denver.
