Texas Health Resources, a nonprofit health care system, is planning a 20-acre hospital campus at the southeast corner of the Dallas North Tollway and Cobb Hill Drive.

Frisco's Planning and Zoning Commission will vote on a preliminary site plan for the hospital campus during Tuesday's meeting.

The 325,000-square-foot hospital is planned to be called Texas Health Frisco. The 74-bed acute-care hospital will sit on about 9 acres and will include a 24/7 emergency room, surgical services, women’s services and a neonatal intensive care unit. A 120,000-square-foot medical office building with a 90,000-square-foot clinic is also planned for the campus.

Plans submitted to the city show the hospital is planned to have eight stories, and the medical office building will have four stories. A four-story parking garage paired with surface parking is also planned for the campus.

The hospital is planned to open in 2019, according to the THR website.

THR does not yet have a hospital campus in Frisco. However, THR does run the Behavioral Health Center on Main Street as well as the Ben Hogan Sports Medicine facility at Toyota Stadium. Several THR freestanding emergency rooms are also located in Frisco.
