A 92-acre mixed-use development could soon be seen on a site located just north of Grand Park at the southwest corner of Main Street and Dallas Parkway.

Two-minute impact

Frisco Planning and Zoning Commission members unanimously approved the open space and preliminary site plan for the development, owned by Zarky Development LLC, during an April 23 meeting.

The development features a three-hole disc golf course, a pond and a kayak launch site, according to meeting documents.

Those outdoor amenities are included in the site’s 292,048 square feet of open space, which is 11.3% of the entire development and exceeds the city’s minimum 10% open space rule.

Other plans for the development include three multifamily buildings totaling 1,039 units, according to meeting documents.
  • Building A: five stories, 300 units
  • Building B: six stories, 343 units
  • Building C: eight stories, 396 units

What comes next?

Additional site plans will need to be considered by commissioners during future meetings.

The commission will hold a public hearing to discuss the development before giving its recommendation to Frisco City Council members. Upcoming commission meetings and agendas can be found here.
