The details
The Portillo’s in Frisco will be a “Restaurant of the Future” design featuring a smaller-footprint—approximately 6,250 square-feet plus a 500 square foot outdoor patio—which will offer seating for about 120 guests. Double drive-thru lanes, pick-up shelves and a grab and go area will also be available.
What’s happening
During the ribbon cutting ceremony, which will begin at 10 a.m., Portillo’s VP of Restaurant Support Michael Portillo, will share remarks and present charity partner, Frisco Education Foundation, with a check to support their efforts, a company news release states. The doors will officially open to the public at 10:30 a.m.

According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the estimated construction cost on the building is $6 million.
