The last beams were installed in three new multi-million dollar towers in east Frisco.

The Dallas-based developer Hall Group announced in a Dec. 19 press release that the first phase of construction was complete for three new towers at Hall Park on Gaylord Parkway: A 16-story class AAA office tower, a 224-room luxury hotel and a 19-story multifamily complex.

The Hall Group’s “topping out” announcement, a Scandinavian tradition to celebrate placing the last beam on a roof, included those in attendance signing their names on the last steel beams before they were lifted onto the top floors. A tree was also added, another tradition meant to ward off evil spirits, according to the press release.

This first step of the group’s 20-year master plan was estimated to be worth $500 million alone, according to the Hall Group website. The new towers will surround Kaleidoscope Park, another in-progress Frisco project included in the $7 billion updates set to finish in 2023.

“The development of this building, Kaleidoscope Park, and the neighboring towers under construction is a turning point in our long-term vision for Hall Park, transforming it from a singular office focus into a dynamic, urban-like, mixed-use community,” said Hall Group President Don Braun in the news release.

Since its first building was constructed in 1997, the 162 acres of Hall Park now contain 15 completed office and multi-home buildings, designated green space and three miles of walking trails, according to the press release.

The three new buildings are expected to open by the end of 2023.
