Those who seek to serve on Frisco City Council can now submit applications.

The filing period for the May 7 general election began Jan. 19. Seats up for election include City Council places 2 and 4, and are currently held by Council Members Shona Huffman and Bill Woodard, respectively.

Filing for the May election overlaps with early voting in the special Jan. 29 election, in which three candidates are running to replace Council Member Dan Stricklin. Stricklin resigned in November to run for Denton County Commissioners Court.

The last day to file for a place on the ballot is Feb. 18. To register to vote, the last day is April 7.

Early voting begins April 25 and ends May 3. Visit www.friscotexas.gov/1692/May-7-2022-General-Election for more information.
