Beginning this week, residents can drop off their live Christmas trees at the Environmental Collection Center at 6616 Walnut St. The center will accept trees through Jan. 31.

Trees must be unflocked and all decorations must be removed before being dropped off at the center. The center is open 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday.

To have a live tree picked up with yard waste, the tree must be cut in half and placed with recycling and trash.

Artificial or flocked trees can be scheduled for bulk pickup by calling 972-292-5900.
