iSaveLives opened January 2016 in Frisco, CEO Sheila Elliott said.

The business offers a variety of classes including:All iSaveLives instructors are first responders who have CPR experience in the field. Classes range from basic to advanced CPR with certifications through the American Heart Association and American Red Cross.

Who it’s for

Elliott said she launched the business to meet a growing demand for CPR, AED, and first aid certification among healthcare workers and other groups, including foster care families, childcare providers, teachers, fitness instructors and members of the general public seeking lifesaving training. As enrollment increased, the company expanded its course offerings, and in 2019 iSaveLives moved from Elliott’s Frisco home to its current three-room office space in Frisco.

The inspiration

“I became a paramedic because of my son, who's had five open-heart surgeries for a heart defect he was born with,” Elliott said. “I would have never imagined that my journey would have led to starting a CPR company and it being as successful as it is today.”
