H-E-B’s second Frisco store officially opened Aug. 7.

This is the Texas-based grocery store’s seventh flagship brand store in North Texas. Frisco’s first H-E-B opened in September 2022 on Main Street. Since Frisco’s first location, stores have opened in the surrounding communities including Plano, McKinney and Allen with another planned in Prosper.

“We don’t have an H-E-B in Dallas but we have two now in Frisco,” said Stephen Butt, President of Central Market and H-E-B, during an Aug. 6 ribbon cutting event.

The details

H-E-B, located on the corner of FM 423 and US 380, includes a bakery, deli, pharmacy, everyday essentials, flower shop, groceries, meat market, pet care and food services such as the True Texas BBQ.

US 380 has become the “golden mile of retail,” Butt said about the store's new location.

The first Frisco H-E-B saw about 1,500 people lined up for its opening in 2022, said Mabrie Jackson, Public Affairs Managing Director for H-E-B/Central Market during the ribbon cutting event.

“We knew it was time to start breaking ground on this one,” Jackson said.

The new store is 130,000 square feet and employs 700 people, with 80% of those being hired locally, store leader Greg Bennion said.

“Ten months ago this was a dream, and now it’s a reality,” he said.
