1. Traffic signals along Bloomdale Road
Project: Two traffic lights will be constructed on Bloomdale Road at the intersections of Hardin Boulevard and Community Avenue.
Update: The city of McKinney approved a contract with traffic engineering firm Lee Engineering during a March 17 meeting for preliminary engineering and final design services for the traffic signals.
Project:
Construction crews will replace bridge culvert between Canoncita Lane and Bandolino Lane to allow water from Pittman Creek to flow under Parker Road.Update: A segment of Parker Road in Plano will be reduced to two lanes in each direction starting March 23.
3. Belt Line Road improvements
Project: Drainage, utility and pavement improvements at Belt Line Road and pavement improvements along Cottonwood Drive in Richardson.
Update: Culvert installation at Belt Line and along Cottonwood is complete. Paving on Cottonwood is currently ongoing.
4. Flower Mound traffic signal improvements
Project:
Town officials plan to reconstruct the traffic signals at the Cross Timbers Road and Luther Lane and build new signals at the Flower Mound Road and Quail Run Road intersection as part of an annual project in Flower Mound. Pedestrian signals and Americans with Disabilities Act-accessible ramps will be added to the intersection of Old Settlers Road and McKamy Creek Road.Update: Flower Mound Town Council approved a professional services contract worth $103,000 with Kimley-Horn and Associates to design the improvements during the March 2 meeting.
Project:
Construction crews worked to replace a 48-inch water pipe along Sunset Trail between Rocky Point and Ridgecrest Drive.Update: Crews have completed work on the project, along with nearby drainage improvements. The road has also reopened after a closure was required during the project.
