The bond will contribute to roughly 120 projects across the county. Check out five TRIP-22 projects currently under construction and five more that will start by the end of 2026.
Ongoing projects
Lebanon Road
Work will take place along Lebanon Road from Scotty’s Lake Lane to Bridge Lane in The Colony. TRIP-22 contributed $2 million to the $4 million total budget. Work includes:
- Replacing damaged road panels
- Strengthening the soil foundation under the roadway
Bonnie Brae Street Phase 3
Bonnie Brae Street in Denton is receiving several major improvements. Phase 3 of the project is currently underway from Roselawn Drive to I-35 E. Work includes:
- Installing new wastewater utilities
- Adding sidewalks, street lights and a mixed-use trail along the roadway
- Widening the road from two lanes to four lanes
Westgate-Windsor Phase 1
Phase 1 of the two-phase project in Denton is currently under construction on Westgate Drive, between the I-35 access road and Bronco Way, near Denton High School. TRIP-22 contributed $4.1 million to the project. The work includes:
- Extending Westgate Drive to connect to Bronco Way and Barrow Drive
- Adding streetlights along the roadway
- Installing storm drain and water lines
Faught Road
Faught Road in Robson Ranch is receiving improvements in two phases, north and south, in Northlake. The north part of the project stretches from Robson Ranch Road to Old Justin Road. Improvements include:
- Repaving damaged road sections
- Installing waterway tunnels and water lines
Denton Creek Boulevard bridge
TRIP-22 contributed $5 million to the Denton Creek bridge in Flower Mound, which will extend Denton Creek Boulevard over the Graham Branch floodplain. The work includes:
- Constructing a multispan bridge over the floodplain
- Adding water lines
- Adding a multiuse trail extension
Upcoming projects
Elm Street and Locust Street
Elm and Locust streets in Denton will receive improvements from US 380 to East McKinney Street. TRIP-22 funds will contribute $9 million to the project’s $21 million budget. Work includes:
- Concrete and driveway replacements
- Repaving asphalt
- Replacing sanitary and sewer water lines
Lebanon Road
Crews will widen the roadway on Lebanon Road in Frisco from FM 423 to Todd lane. TRIP-22 contributed $7.5 million to the project’s $23 million budget. Work includes:
- Widening the roadway from four to six lanes
Hill Lane
Little Elm received roughly $10.4 million from TRIP-22 to improve Hill Lane from Oak Grove Parkway to Dickson Lane. The work includes:
- Adding an underground drainage system
- Improving sidewalks and landscaping
Westgate-Windsor Phase 2
Westgate and Windsor’s second phase covers Windsor Drive, from the south end of Westgate Drive to the I-35 access road. The work includes:
- Installing new drainage and sewer lines
- Adding streetlights along the roadway
- Reconstructing the roadway
Parvin-Frontier
A roadway improvement project for Parvin Road and Frontier Parkway will receive roughly $16 million from TRIP-22. The work includes:
- Widening the roadway from two to four lanes
