A North Texas emergency room formerly known as SignatureCare Emergency Center is now known as Medical City ER Cross Timbers, according to a news release.

The business officially opened under a new name Oct. 1, said Alexandra Perdomo, director of communications and community engagement at Medical City Lewisville. The emergency room has been acquired by HCA Healthcare and will be operated as a department of Medical City Lewisville, per the news release. It is the ninth off-campus emergency room in the Medical City Healthcare system, according to the release.

“This off-campus emergency room is an important extension of our system of care,” says John Walker, CEO of Medical City Lewisville.

Medical City ER Cross Timbers is a full-service emergency room with 7 private rooms, operating 24/7. The facility includes facilities to provide trauma care, and a full laboratory and radiology suite with X-ray and CT imaging.

Additionally, Medical City Lewisville made a $5,000 donation to the Cross Timbers Family YMCA, which will be used to help purchase CPR equipment, including an automated external defibrillator, according to the news release.
