Election results show Keith Self, Julie Johnson, Pat Fallon, others as projected winners

Republican incumbent Lance Gooden is the projected winner in the race for U.S. Rep. District 5. He beat his opponent, Democrat Ruth Torres with 68.5% of the vote.

In U.S. Rep. District 24, Beth Van Duyne is projected to win her reelection campaign. She has 60.86% of the vote while her challenger, Sam Eppler, got 39.14%, or 128,885 votes.

Republican candidate Brandon Gill is projected to win his race for U.S. Rep. District 26 over his opponents, Democrat Ernest R. Lineberger III and Libertarian Phil Gray. Gill received 62.88% of the vote.

Democrat Julie Johnson is the projected winner in the race for U.S. Rep. District 32, beating out Republican Darrell Day and Libertarian Kevin A. Hale. Johnson has 60.5% of the vote to Day’s 37.33% and Hale’s 2.18%.

With 83% of counties reporting in Texas, Republican incumbent Keith Self still leads over his challenger, Democrat Sandeep Srivastava in the race for the U.S. Rep. District 3 seat. Self has 202,071 votes, or 63.03% of the vote. Pat Fallon, the Republican incumbent in U.S. Rep. District 4 is leading in his race. In U.S. Rep. District 32, Democrat Julie Johnson is still in the lead with 60.68% of the vote.

Several seats are available for Dallas-Fort Worth area candidates on the U.S. House of Representatives. U.S. House representatives serve two-year terms.

U.S. Rep. District 3

This district encompasses parts of Collin and Hunt counties. Incumbent Republican Rep. Keith Self has 201,950 votes while his challenger, Democratic candidate Sandeep Srivastava, has 119,787 votes, according to the Texas Secretary of State early voting numbers. Self beat Srivastava for the seat in 2020 with a 24% lead.

Self has 62.77% of early votes while Srivastava has 37.23%.

U.S. Rep. District 4

This district includes parts of Bowie, Collin, Delta, Denton, Fannin, Grayson, Hopkins, Hunt and Lamar counties. Pat Fallon, the Republican incumbent, is being challenged by Democratic candidate Simon Cardell. Fallon is leading with 1,139 votes while Cardell has 155 votes.

Fallon has 88.02% of the vote while Cardell has 155 votes.

U.S. Rep. District 5

This district includes parts of Dallas, Henderson, Kaufman, Upsure, Van Zandt and Wood counties. Democratic candidate Ruth Torres is challenging incumbent Republican Lance Gooden. The incumbent has served the district since 2019. Gooden is leading with 101,680 votes to Torres’ 58,659.

Gooden has 63.42% of the vote while Torres has 36.58% of the vote.

U.S. Rep. District 24

This district covers parts of Dallas and Tarrant counties. Former Irving mayor Beth Van Duyne is running for her third term in the seat. Her challenger is Democrat Sam Eppler. Currently, Duyne is leading with 61,686 votes while Eppler has 47,874.

Duyne has 56.3% of the vote while Eppler has 43.7%.

U.S. Rep. District 26

This district covers parts of Cooke, Denton, Tarrant and Wise counties. Rep. Michael Burgess, who currently serves the district, announced his retirement in November last year. Now, Republican Brandon Gill, Democrat Ernest Lineberger III and Libertarian Phil Gray are eyeing the District 26 seat. Gill is ahead with 204,028 votes. Lineberger III has 116,343. Gray has 6,262.

Gill has 62.43% of the vote while Lineberger has 35.6% and Gray has 1.96%.

U.S. Rep. District 32

After Rep. Colin Allred announced he was retiring from the District 32 seat, three candidates threw their hat into the ring. This district covers covers parts of Collin, Dallas and Denton counties. Democrat Julie Johnson, currently serving in the Texas House, Republican Darrell Day and Libertarian Kevin Hale are hoping to fill the position. As of now, Johnson is leading with 100,363 votes. Day has 61,566 votes and Hale has 3,511.

Johnson has 60.66% of the vote. Day has 37.21% of the vote and Hale has 2.12%.
