Argyle ISD’s board of trustees started the construction process for a new elementary school and middle school by approving architectural services for the two schools.
The services were approved at a regular board meeting Jan. 20.
The details
The district’s sixth elementary school and second middle school were approved for procurement of construction services and architectural design services.
District Construction Manager Jeff Koehn said both schools are scheduled to open for the 2029-30 school year. The middle school will be built on 50 acres located along Harpole Road, according to previous reporting. The elementary school will be located in Furst Ranch along US 377, Koehn said.
Both facilities will be funded through a $423 million bond approved by voters May 2025. A total of four elementary and middle schools will be either fully or partially funded by the bond, according to the district.
